Clear blue springs, underwater caves and more await at Ginnie Spring’s tropical oasis.
Hidden away in High Springs, FL, lies a stunning natural park of blue lagoons and wondrous underwater caves waiting for you to explore its crystalline waters. Ginnie Springs is so surreally gorgeous it will have you dreaming of tropical oasis for days!
Located to the south of the Santa Fe River, Ginnie Springs is about a two-hour car ride from Orlando. But with plenty of water sports available, this turquoise natural spring is the perfect destination for athletes and loungers of all levels.
If you’re looking for some adventure, the park is home to the Devil’s Spring System, a three-spring cavern system, that produces 80 million gallons of water daily. Professional divers can descend into Devil Spring, a four-foot-wide fracture located at the head of the run, and explore the intricately decorated underwater cavern. The waters down at this mesmerizing cave are so clear, that those who descend to the bottom can look up and still count the leaves on the trees above!
Those of you who aren’t professional divers or are just looking to take it easy, don’t worry. You can still enjoy Ginnie Springs closer to the surface. For example, you can choose to peer into the deep below from the edge of the Devil’s Eye, a 20-foot round opening that will make you feel like you’ve been sucked into the Little Mermaid’s tale.
Grab a snorkel or hop on a paddleboard and get on exploring Ginnie Springs and the Devil’s Spring System for a relaxing afternoon submerged in calm and cool waters (While you’re at it snap a picture or two, your followers and our feed will greatly appreciate it!)
If you’re seeking some more fun and adventure, Ginnie Springs also offers canoe and kayak rentals as well as tube ones, so you can go tubing lazily down the Santa Fe River and tour the park all the way from Beaver’s Landing to Twin Spring.
Ginnie Springs is currently open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday to Saturday and entrance is $15 per adult. So what are you waiting for? Get on exploring this stunning blue oasis!
