We love a good old fashioned scavenger hunt, especially with the promise of some epic prizes to take home. We suggest you clear out your schedule on August 26, because a pretty huge scavenger hunt is going to be happening in Orlando!
What do I need to know ahead of the scavenger hunt?
On August 26, if you happen to stumble upon one of 10 golden bananas, you’ll want to grab it quickly – these are exchangeable for $250 Amazon.com gift cards! It won’t be as easy as it sounds though – these golden bananas are going to be hidden very carefully. Keep an eye on the @secret_orlando Instagram page, there may or may not be some clues dropped there ahead of the August 26th hunt! That day, there will be an Amazon Grocery Peelmobile parked in the area near where these golden bananas are hidden. If you’re looking to start planning your search in advance, just know that the Peelmobile will be at Shops at The Grove on August 26 between 2pm and 8pm ET…consider that your first clue! Don’t worry if you can’t make it on August 26 though – the Peelmobile will make a second appearance at Winter Garden Village on August 27!
What do I do if I find a golden banana?
First of all, take a minute to celebrate – you’re a winner! Then, head to the Amazon Grocery Peelmobile to claim your prize, a $250 Amazon.com gift card! These are limited to one per participant, so if you find a golden banana, you don’t need to keep searching. You can just take yourself straight to the Peelmobile. The golden bananas will be hidden close to the Peelmobile, but as we mentioned…we suggest keeping a close eye on our Instagram page on the day.
Is there anything else happening at the Amazon Grocery Peelmobile?
Don’t expect to go home empty-handed if you don’t find a golden banana! The Amazon Grocery Peelmobile will also be handing out plenty of other prizes. Expect fruit-themed games, where you could win a range of different goodies, including picnic blankets, tote bags and bento boxes! There will also be lots of free bananas, mandarins and other edible treats being handed out on the day – so even if you don’t find a golden banana, you will want to make your way to the Peelmobile to see what is on offer! If you’re not available to take part in the scavenger hunt, don’t worry – the Amazon Grocery Peelmobile will also be popping up at Winter Garden Village the next day (August 27), with more chances for great prizes.
How do I take part?
You don’t need to do anything in advance, all you need to do to take part is get your hands on one of these golden bananas!
